Fullmec

THE FULL CASE STUDY: COMING SOON

FullMec is a high-quality automotive services provider, offering inspections, maintenance, and vehicle repairs at the location requested by the client. The company embraces the latest trends, technologies, and solutions shaping the future of the automotive industry.

Client: Fullmec Type: SaaS Dashboard + App My Role: Product Designer (UX/UI) Platform: Laravel Nova + Remix/React Timeline: 6 months

The Challenge

FullMec’s existing platform had become outdated, limiting scalability and efficiency. There was a need for a modern, flexible solution that could support growth and innovation in a highly operational industry.

Main Goal:
Scale the platform to reach new clients and strengthen the vehicle inspection business unit.

Specific Objectives:

  • Ensure all inspections are carried out using the new platform.

  • Enable leasing of the platform to third-party companies.

  • Improve communication with clients.

  • Enhance the overall quality of service.

The Story Before

The current platform lacked flexibility, modern UI patterns, and mobile responsiveness.
Key issues included:

  • Inspectors had to rely on paper forms or outdated tools.

  • No standardized method to upload and review visual media (photos/videos).

  • Reports were not centralized or easily editable.

  • Communication between roles (Inspectors, Supervisors, Clients) was inefficient.

  • No offline support, which was critical for on-site vehicle inspections with limited signal.

The Shift

Currently in the wireframing stage, we are designing a multi-platform system to support vehicle inspection and evaluation workflows. The solution includes:

  • A private web platform for managing operations and performance.

  • A mobile-first application for field use, built with Laravel Nova and Remix/React.

Key UX insights from the Inspector Journey

  1. Speed and Clarity Are Crucial

  2. Guided Inspections Improve Focus

  3. Offline Mode Is Essential

  4. Media Uploads Must Feel Safe

  5. Predefined Inputs Save Time

  6. Clear Submission Feedback Is Needed

  7. Think Checklists, Not Forms

The design process

The Impact (forecasted)

Although still in progress, this redesign is expected to:

  • Reduce inspection completion time.

  • Increase user satisfaction across all roles.

  • Minimize errors and data loss with offline mode.

  • Allow scalability and platform leasing to third parties.

  • Improve communication and transparency between company and clients.

What I Learned

Designing for offline-first experiences requires special care in data management and interface feedback.

  • Working with multiple user types in a single product means thinking modularly and designing reusable components that adapt to role-based logic.

  • Close collaboration with developers is key when working with tools like Laravel Nova and custom backend structures.

  • Prioritizing clarity in forms and hierarchy improves speed and accuracy in operational environments.
